OD Mount Slide Bearing Series (SBCM)
The Heavy Duty SBCM Series of low profile clamshells are split-frame lathes that produce rapid, reliable severing and beveling of in-line tube and pipe. Smaller lathes have the ability to split in two for mounting on either side of in-line 1/8″ pipe to 4″ tube in order to perform precision severing and/or beveling. SBCM Series machines offer secure collet type clamping that not only provides self-centering but also prevents distortion or damage from clamping forces with full support on Schedule 5-10 pipe or tube. SBCM’s can be configured for clean-room use (No Lead) and are protected by tough Nickel plating that makes them easy to clean and decontaminate. SBCM’s require short perch length for operation and are sized to cover a wide range of cutting applications. Bits can be specified to provide optimal cutting results on specific materials.

Tool blocks are heat-treated for durability and parts that could be damaged, such as gears, pins, and bearings, are protected to reduce the chance of accidental damage.
Our clamshells do not have moving gears that protrude to provide increased operator safety.
