RANCHO CORDOVA — Tri Tool was recently chosen to receive the 2021 Safety Award of Merit from Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA) for an outstanding commitment to excellence in safety. When it comes to the metal fabrication industry, precision and safety are arguably the most crucial elements in the success of any endeavor. Tri Tool is fully committed to providing a work environment that is as safe as possible for our team members and our customers. Safety is a core value of our company, and we strive to maintain a culture that values accountability, quality, and integrity. “The recognition of Tri Tool as a 2021 Safety Award of Merit winner is a reflection of the commitment of 300+ employees to continue to drive our health and safety program to ZERO work-related injuries or illnesses,” said Tri Tool CEO, Chris Belle. “We aim to set a new standard for our industry by being one of the safest, most innovative and responsible precision machining companies for the benefit of our employees, our customers, and our communities.” The 2021 Safety Award of Merit from FMA recognizes Tri Tool’s meticulous safety practices and impressive incidence record both in the shop and in the field. Since our inception in 1972, providing safety leadership has been a fundamental part of our business. We continually improve our processes and provide on-going training for our employees, subcontractors, customers, and community. “I congratulate Tri Tool Incorporated on winning a Safety Award of Merit,” said Edward Youdell, President and CEO of FMA. “Safety is clearly a priority for the company. They set a good example for others in the industry. FMA and CNA are proud to recognize all our safety award winners.” Sponsored by CNA, the endorsed business insurance carrier for FMA, the Safety Award of Merit is designed to promote safety in the fabrication and machining industry, and winners are selected by the FMA Safety Council. The Safety Award of Merit is given to companies posting an injury and illness incidence rate for the reporting period that is better than the published Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) rate by 10 percent or greater, based on their NAICS code. To be eligible to receive recognition, companies were required to submit OSHA Form 300A, Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses, for the period January 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020. Firms of all sizes were eligible. Winners were selected based on North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code categories and BLS injury and illness incidence rates.
